I am a native Washingtonian who currently resides in Takoma Park, MD, and was raised with eight other siblings in Washington D.C. However; it was not until the age of five that I began drawing. I am the fourth of nine children.  Because of the many members of my family, I engage in a lot of communication.  As an artist, I know that communication is not limited to talking.  The many types of communication at my arsenal in conjunction with the many members of my family have made room for a lot of diversity on my part. I attended and completed my education at Duke Ellington School of the Arts.  Following those four years of specialized art education, I attended and finished the University of the District of Columbia, where I received a Bachelor’s of Studio Art. Recently I received a Master in Fine Arts from Howard University, and I am currently teaching art at a Public Charter School.

During the course of my schooling, I attended and displayed my pieces at a variety of galleries, including the Academy 2018 Connersmith Gallery, Face Forward Carroll Square Gallery, The Big C, Linus Galleries, Pasadena, CA, Emulsion East City Art DC First Juried Show, Washington, DC, In the Flesh 4 at the Target Gallery, Alexandria, VA, Bodies Art Show, North Seattle Community College, Seattle, Washington, The Photographic Self, Woman Made Gallery, Chicago, Illinois, U.S. Geological Survey Department of Interior, Roselyn, Virginia, Artomatic in Crystal City, Virginia, Silent Art Auction in Howard’s Black Burn Center, and the Black Rock Center for the Arts, Germantown, MD.

My accomplishments include, but are not limited to, the production of murals, illustrations and other works of art. One of the murals is on display at the University of the District of Columbia.  Further, some of my illustrations are highlighted in a medical handbook by Elgloria Harrison titled “Neonatal Respiratory Care.”
