My artwork is an introspective examination of my life experiences. No one can predict or tell the future or what type of situation is going to present itself. Life situations have the potential to trigger a range of human emotions. Emotions manifest from interactions with people and the circumstances of our daily activity. I consider the mechanics and circumstances of life and art to be similar. Both life and art can present collisions of conflicting emotions and events. This language communicates healing and a remedy for life situations.

The subject matter consists of figures representing more than one person's life experience. Each emotion and feeling art is not conveyed through facial expressions or body language, but the dialogue is depicted through color, textures, and patterns. Color enables me to express thoughts and emotions. Other instrumental elements in my subject matter are nature, wood, flowers, leaves, and different parts of animals.

Every painting communicates a transformation that is taking place based on how different parts distort the figure. My figures are painted with skin tones showing color dripping and unveiling a grey tone. The grey tone conveys something fading. The absence of heads creates the illusion of not wanting to be recognized.
